Job Title: Manager - Linehaul, Supply Chain Operations
Department: Supply Chain & Logistics
Job Summary:
The Territory Manager Supply Chain Operations is responsible for managing and optimizing supply chain activities within a specific geographic region or territory. This role ensures effective coordination between logistics, warehousing, inventory, and vendor management to support customer satisfaction and business performance. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with strong operational and leadership skills, capable of managing multiple supply chain functions across several locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory Operations Oversight
Manage daily supply chain operations across multiple sites or facilities in the assigned territory.
Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, optimal inventory levels, and smooth warehouse operations.
Inventory & Logistics Management
Monitor inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and distribution schedules within the territory.
Coordinate transportation, routing, and delivery to meet service levels and cost targets.
Vendor and Partner Coordination
Work closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and third-party vendors to ensure performance and contract compliance.
Resolve delivery issues, shortages, and quality problems with external partners.
Performance Monitoring
Track KPIs such as order fulfillment rate, lead time, logistics costs, and warehouse productivity.
Provide regular reports to senior management and suggest corrective actions where needed.
Team Supervision & Leadership
Lead and support warehouse supervisors, logistics coordinators, and frontline staff across the territory.
Train team members on operational procedures, safety standards, and best practices.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce costs within the territory.
Support the implementation of new technologies and supply chain initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Conduct audits and inspections to maintain high operational standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or territory-based role.
Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and distribution practices.
Proficient in supply chain software and systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP).
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in multi-site operations management.
Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
