Manager Lending Operations

About The Role:

You’ll own and streamline all transaction-related activities – disbursements, repayments, reconciliations, and exception handling – across lenders, platforms, and customers. This role sits at the intersection of fintech operations, compliance, product, and partner success.

Key Responsibilities

· Disbursement Management

o  Ensure timely and accurate processing of loan disbursements via APIs, bank integrations, and partner systems

o  Coordinate with finance and product teams to automate and validate fund flows

· Repayment Operations

o  Monitor scheduled repayments, ECS/NACH/UPI mandates, and auto-debits

o  Track missed repayments and trigger retry/recovery workflows

· Reconciliation & Ledger Hygiene

o  Own daily reconciliation of collections, disbursements, and charges (incl. interest, fees, penalties)

o  Work with Finance and Engineering to identify and resolve mismatches

· Exception Handling

o  Resolve failed transactions, delayed settlements, and incorrect customer credits/debits

o  Escalate to banking partners or internal teams as needed and drive resolution SLAs

· Reporting & MIS

o  Maintain real-time dashboards and periodic reports for internal stakeholders, lenders, and regulators

o  Share actionable insights on transaction patterns, risks, and process improvements

· Process Improvement & Automation

o  Identify opportunities to automate manual transaction processes

o  Collaborate with product and tech teams to implement ops-friendly tools and workflows

· Stakeholder Collaboration

o  Interface with lenders, NBFCs, payment gateways, collections partners, and internal CX/product teams

o  Ensure end-to-end SLA adherence and customer experience consistency

Ideal Candidate

●      3–7 years in fintech/banking/NBFCs/payments ops or transaction ops roles

●      Strong grasp of financial flows (disbursement → reconciliation → recovery)

●      Hands-on experience with Excel/Google Sheets, reconciliation tools, dashboards (e.g., Zoho, Power BI)

●      Familiarity with UPI, NACH, ECS, virtual accounts, and payment gateways

●      Eye for detail + obsession with data accuracy

●      Ability to thrive in high-paced, ambiguous, fast-scaling environments

●      Bonus: Experience in lending workflows, bank integrations, or API-based transactions
