Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Review of the property documents related to all ongoing projects and preparing the preliminary observations/notes.
  • To prepare reports to understand the title of the land owner to the property and highlighting the areas of risks & concern. Analyzing the legal issues.
  • To co-ordinate with various reputed Law Firms and independent advocates/external counsels in order to obtain title reports/legal opinions with respect to the lands/properties acquired or proposed to be acquired.
  • Reviewing of Litigation documents and preparing the preliminary observations on the same and highlighting the areas of risks & concern.
  • Monitoring and reporting to the management on all the litigation matters involving the Developer and the Landowners on a day to day basis.
  • Obtaining project approvals from banks and financial institutions; providing necessary title documents & clarifications from time to time for project clearance.
  • Preparing legal notices and all other form of legal letters, issuing of legal notices, sending replies to the notices and coordinating with the external counsels with regard to filings.
  • Handling Arbitration matters and aiding in the course of conducting the arbitration proceedings.
  • Preparing Affidavits, Claim statement and Statement of objections.
  • Handling queries raised by the applicants/customers and their advocates.
  • Drafting of Joint Development Agreement, Supplement Agreement, Sharing Agreement and other related documents.
  • Working with the team in relation to registering the Projects under Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Submission of documents in RERA portal, Periodical filings with RERA. Sending responses to their notices and letters.
  • Advice the management regarding legal issues, applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Other related responsibilities as and when assigned by the Management.

Skills Required:

10+years (preferably in real estate, property laws, RERA, contracts, and compliance)
LLB/LLM from a recognized universityStrong knowledge of property and real estate lawsExcellent drafting & negotiation skillsAbility to handle multiple legal matters independently
