Manager Fluid Engineering

Role & responsibilities

• Study of feasibility request & design inputs received from Customer and Marketing.
• Analyzing the customer requirements of Product/Sub-System component Design and Development, Validation.
• Interaction with the customer for technical concerns raised during feasibility review.
• Designing the Products/Parts in approach to Assembly and manufacturing feasibility.
• Ensure product design meets projected costs for both material and manufacturing.
• Benchmarking the similar products to get optimized and better engineering solution in line with Customer expectations.
• Preparing & review of 3D mathematical models and Part drawings.
• Managing CAE activities- Mechanical Strength and CFD simulations--- Structural and Fluid dynamics simulation.
• Studies of Mechanical Vibration simulation.
• Studies of Material and Component Behavior simulation under loads and thermal conditions.
• Studies of Fluid Flow simulationVelocity and Pressure drop calculations.
• Studies of Multiphase substance dynamic simulationLiquid and Gas phase volume dispersion.
• Co-relation studies and inputs captures as Lessons learned.
• Discussion with the customer on the Design approval.
• Execute Product/Part development process.
• Execute Design and Production validation process.
• Execute Design of Experimental studies for the issues obtained during Design and Development Validation, Process Design and Development Validation.
• Execute optimization of the Development process for ease of manufacturing.
• Execute Product / Component approval process with the customer.
• Execute flawless handover of the development objectives to the production.
• Setting up Lessons Learned / Design Guidelines and Technical Standards for future considerations. Learnings from the Development, Validation process.
• Analyze & review for an Engineering changes raised by the customer.
• Periodic review and updating of DFMEA.
• Support customer in field issues regarded to the Engineering design, and propose changes towards resolution.
• Propose Cost reduction, Waste elimination ideas through VAVE.
• Study, Analyze, Validate and Introduce the New products in line with the Market opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with min. 12 years of work experience in the area of Thermoplastic and Rubber Product and Process Engineering.
• Must have knowledge about the Thermoplastic and Rubber Extruded / Molded products and its Manufacturing Processes e.g. Tubing / Hoses, Precision Injection molded parts etc.
• Must have worked on the Products and Processes for Automotive function, from Concept to Realization.
• Must have knowledge about various International Automotive Norms and OEM standards for Product and Process development.
• Should be able to Define and Drive Innovation projects.
• Experience in the field of Automotive Fluid Transfer Systems / Sub-systems will be an added advantage.
