Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Cost estimation for parts and tooling (dies, cutting tools, fixtures) for
Forgings, Gears, Shafts
, and
Machined components
.
Part cost estimation at multiple stages: concept/model-based and drawing-based.
Drive cost optimization through design iterations and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Study supplier manufacturing processes and create costing guidelines, MHR sheets, and estimation templates.
Support costing gap closures, validate assumptions, and propose optimal manufacturing processes.
Analyze cost drivers and recommend alternative processes to meet cost targets.
Interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD data (AutoCAD preferred).
Prepare detailed cost estimates for parts and tooling.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and product development.
Hands-on experience in costing and development environments.
Ability to justify costing assumptions with solid technical understanding.
Individual contributor, comfortable in cross-functional collaboration.
Mindset for promoting
Design-to-Cost
culture.
B.E , Experience as per 10-15 Years , as per Grade.
