Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager who is an immediate joiner. Role & responsibilities General Tasks Compliance with company requirements/policies and legal requirements Support company and department targets Ensuring functional and operational safety in accordance with legal regulations, as well as participating in the development of preventive measures Adhere to 5 S requirements (e.g., order and cleanliness) in the specialist work area Ensure the requirements for applicable certifications 2. Specific Tasks - PLC A Concept Assist and contribute upon approval from ME TC to PLC A Manufacturing Engineering development and innovation projects incl. machinery, tooling and materials. Should have knowledge of injection moulding machine selection based on parts geometry and material. Proactively propose potential PLC A development and innovation ideas for injection moulding process. PLC B Verify, ensure and document manufacturing feasibility for Injection moulding processes. Highlight and escalate into ME TC non standard requirements. Assess and highlight potential risks in any area like process, tooling, material and operation. Design and ensure proper moulding process not only limited to operational steps, cycle times, equipment, and tooling but should include required investments and capacities and constraints. PLC C-E Industrialization Industrialize approved standard manufacturing processes (from PLC B) in Injection molding. Industrialize not approved standard manufacturing processes in agreement with IME TC implementation of stable and efficient injection moulding processes, taking into account the criteria (cycle time/availability/energy consumption/durability etc.) for machines, operating resources and tools Process planning with time schedule, capacity and investment for the industrialization of series process. Validate and release NEW equipment/tooling etc. concepts according to defined ME process standards. Creation, release and monitoring of process-relevant tool and machine drawings Create SOW, equipment, tooling specification Specifying the framework conditions/KPIs of injection moulding processes (including OEE, scrap, set-up time, etc.) Participation in internal and customer projects as part of the PM process. Master data definition and maintenance/updating in the ERP system Creation of Routings, MBOM and ensure achievement of targets from PLC B. Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and standardization of P-FMEAs to design zero failure production processes and contribute to Control Plan definition Responsible for the implementation, of any change requests Active contribution in the internal and external complaints process (lessons learned) Completion of CAPEX requests for technical approval using standard templates. PLC E-F Serial Production (after SOP) Active contribution in the internal and external complaints (lessons learned) related to injection moulding process. Active contribution as part of any continuous improvement activities in Injection moulding process. Lead the activity for Cost reduction, Process improvements, Tool / mould modification for strengthening of process. Spare mould procurement and trials. Active participation in defining maintenance standard of Mold, bring standardization in PM, best practices and learning form other Norma locations. Authorisations: Sign-off and release standard manufacturing processes (excluding CAPEX Requests). Approve and authorize MBOM, Routings, Equipment Specification and Manufacturing Drawings Assess and approve standard manufacturing feasiblity. Preferred candidate profile Education - Completed studies as a mechanical engineer/industrial engineer + 8/9 Years of experience in Injection moulding process. OR Studied the Plastic injection moulding technology + experience in the same field. 8 Years of experience in injection moulding process, Machine procurement, Mold development and trials, Mold preparation, handling and maintenance. Proved track record in Establishing the Injection moulding process. PC knowledge Solid knowledge of software tools, especially MS Office, CAD software (preferable Solid Works, Creo) and PLM (preferable Windchill). Knowledge of FMEA software desirable (APIS) Proves track record or good experience in Problem solving by analytical methods, should have demonstrated project on scrap cost reduction, cycle time improvement, Set up time reduction in injection moulding process area. Knowledge in the analysis (six sigma and MTM knowledge required) of manufacturing processes and their technological and economic consideration Experience in project management Knowledge of quality tools (5-Why, APQP, 8-d Report) Personal Competences: Good problem solving skills and innovative mindset (out of the box thinking) Flexible to work across multiple time zones and with other cultures Good skills in time management Willingness to optimize existing processes Team player and open communication style Fluent in English Proactively align and maintain robust ties with partner functions
