• Implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the applicable Data Privacy regulatory requirement like GDPR, DPDP etc.
  
• Evaluating the existing data protection framework to identify areas of no or partial compliance, and rectify any issues
  
• Developing templates for data collection, assisting with data mapping, and vendor management reviews
  
• Improve the maturity towards a robust Data Privacy risk management program - identifying risks, working with the business to devise mitigation and monitoring their effectiveness.
  
• Maintain records of all data processing activities of the company
  
• Creating educational material, raising awareness through various initiatives, and providing training.
  
• Serving as the primary point of contact for queries in the business related to Data Privacy.
  
• Reviewing vendor contracts and consents needed to implement projects
  
• Monitoring changes to local privacy laws and making recommendations to the Risk Steering Committee when appropriate
  
• Developing and delivering privacy training to various business functions.
  
• Coordinating and conducting data privacy audits
  
• Maintaining a data security incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents including impact assessments, security breach response, complaints, claims or notifications
  
• Ensuring that the IT systems and procedures comply with all relevant data privacy and protection law, regulation and policy (including in relation to the retention and destruction of data)
  
• Working with designated privacy law consultants to help advise on local data privacy law issues in respective office locations.

Requirements

• Graduate/ Post Graduate in Business Management- Engineering Preferred
  
• Total 7-10 years of work experience with 3-4 years in Legal/ Data Privacy/ Compliance/ Risk Management
  
• Understanding of business and system operations and the ability to communicate in these areas.
  
• Strong project management skills
  
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information
  
• Have excellent communication and influencing skills
  
• Ability to connect the dots and look at the big picture
  
• Display a proactive approach to Data Privacy compliance
  
• Experienced in managing key business relationships
