Job Description

Job Description: You are an experienced Import Manager cum CHA (Metal SCRAP) specializing in documentation, importing, and procurement of ferrous metal scrap, primarily steel and iron. Your role involves procuring ferrous scrap from international markets, managing import logistics, documentation, and customs clearance, negotiating deals with local freight forwarders, ensuring compliance with international trade laws, maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners, inspecting shipments on arrival, and submitting bill of entry. Key Responsibilities: - Procure ferrous scrap (steel, iron) from international markets. - Manage import logistics, documentation, and customs clearance. - Negotiate deals with local freight forwarders for competitive pricing and quality transportation. - Ensure compliance with international trade laws and environmental standards. - Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners. - Inspect shipment on arrival for quantity, quality, and price fluctuations. - Submit bill of entry. Qualifications: - Proven experience in import process (ferrous metals). - Knowledge of global logistics and documentation laws. - Strong negotiation and communication skills. - Familiarity with import/export regulations and logistics. In order to excel in this role, you should possess in-depth knowledge of various documentation, tax regulations, and global markets, as well as strong negotiation skills and experience managing international trade logistics. Additionally, you must have a good understanding of taxes regulations and SIMS. Please note that this is a full-time position with benefits including paid sick time and a performance bonus. The work schedule is on a day shift, Monday to Friday, with morning, rotational, and US shifts. The work location is in person.,
