ROLEPURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
- Toexecute internal audit ofCredit function ofthe bank as per audit methodology/ procedures defined in InternalAudit Policy and applicable external/regulatory requirements
- Toperform variety of audits including thematic reviews of bankingproducts/processes, process and regulatory audits related toCredit and other departments.
- Tocoordinate with owning department for audit issue tracking andclosure
- Supportthe National Manager- Credit Audit ("NM-CA") and Headof Audit (HOA) in all matters related to credit risk and executethe audit in accordance with instructions given from time totime.
KEYDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Business/Financials
- PerformLoan Review Mechanism activity in accordance with guidelines oncredit risk management issued by RBI.
- Performthe Risk based Credit audit and Inspection (wherever required) inaccordance with the scope document approved by NM-CA.
- Toplan and execute Internal Audit of Credit functions/verticals asper the Board Approved Annual Audit Plan / Management requests,
- Toassess controls, operational efficiencies and compliance withselected policies, procedures and regulations.
- Performand execute any additional audit assignment instructed by Head ofAudit or HCA at the respective location of placement or otherregions jointly with other Credit Audit Managers.
- Ensureto maintain the quality of work-papers to provide sufficientsupport for the assessments made.
- Makean effective follow up of audit issues and close to thesatisfaction of audit standards.
Customer(Both Internal & External)
- Coordinationfor retrieving MIS data required at Corporate office/Regions andutilizing the data in audit reports.
- Providecommon/systemic issues identified in credit audit reports toHCA/HOA.
- Exploreaudit relevant data from internal sources to produce auditevidence for risk assessment and analytical procedures.
InternalProcess
- Effectivelycollaborate with other team leaders of Branch Audits, other teammembers at Regions and NM-CA.
- In-depthanalysis of critical findings reported in the audit to identifythe vulnerabilities in the existing processes/ systems andsuggesting for changes/improvement on the controls.
- Toreview Compliance to stipulated SLA / Policies / Processes / RBIregulations based on audit scope
- Totest the effectiveness of controls based on sampling methodology
- Recommenddevelopment of policies and procedures in consultation withvarious departments for reducing risk and operationalimprovements.
- Draftdetailed Internal Audit reports, discuss with owning departmentand maintain related work papers
- Totrack the audit for timely closure based on appropriateimplementation
- Totest the RBI guidelines for RBS Tranches (I, II and III)
- CompleteQuality Assurance (QAIP) in terms of IIA guidelines for Auditscompleted
Innovation& Learning
- Continuouslearning on RBI Circulars, IBA Circulars, Statutory departmentcirculars, internal circulars, policies and manuals.
- Undertakeadditional certifications, trainings and mandatory programsadvised by the department.
- Tocomplete learning modules related to Banking products and RBIregulations in Swayam App

Qualifications
- CharteredAccountancy /CA(Inter)/Post Graduate/ CIA / CAIIB
Experience(Yearsand Core Experience Type)
- 7-10years of which 3-4 years in credit audit in retail Bank or multiproduct NBFC
- Experiencein conducting Credit Audits or Credit risk assessment of retailproducts (Desired)
