About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manager – Bids & Proposal to support the global bids, proposals, costing, and order management functions. This role is key to ensuring high-quality, competitive proposals that align with business objectives and client needs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing bid lifecycles, enhancing costing accuracy, and supporting process improvements — with a view toward future leadership within the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bid & Proposal Management:
    • Manage end-to-end bid processes, from RFQ review to proposal submission.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams — technical, engineering, finance, and legal — to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Maintain bid pipelines, track outcomes, and support post-bid reviews.
  • Project Costing & Pricing:
    • Develop cost estimates covering materials, logistics, and services.
    • Maintain pricing libraries and cost benchmarks.
    • Analyze project cost performance to improve estimation accuracy.
  • Order Management:
    • Validate commercial, financial, and technical requirements prior to order entry.
    • Support ERP order processing and ensure data accuracy.
    • Monitor order intake, backlog, and margin KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with Sales, Technical, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver cohesive proposals.
    • Provide operational support to regional proposal and costing teams.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Contribute to process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
    • Participate in lessons-learned workshops to enhance proposal quality and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in bids, proposals, project costing, or commercial analysis.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and costing or proposal management tools.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
