Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the Air and Sea Import operations at our company. Your main duties will include overseeing customs clearance, documentation, shipment tracking, and ensuring efficient import processes. You will need to communicate effectively with shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities, and internal teams to ensure a smooth operation. Monitoring and optimizing import operations for cost efficiency and timely delivery will also be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will handle client communications, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end air and sea import operations, including customs clearance, documentation, and shipment tracking. - Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities, and internal teams for smooth import processes. - Monitor and optimize import operations for cost efficiency and timely delivery. - Handle client communications, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong customer relationships. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company standards. - Prepare reports and provide insights on import performance to senior management. - Mentor and guide the operations team for service excellence. - Lead a team of import professionals and provide guidance and support. - Oversee documentation, customs clearance, and compliance. - Analyze market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market. - Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement pricing strategies. - Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any arising issues. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. - 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding, handling both air and sea imports. - Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, INCOTERMS, and customs regulations. - Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple shipments simultaneously. - Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
