Position Summary
Manager – Mill Room
The incumbent will oversee rubber compounding/mixing operations, ensuring adherence to production plans, safety standards, and statutory regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)
- Oversee daily operations of the
rubber mixing area
, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to schedules. - Optimize batch processing to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor raw material usage and availability to meet production needs.
- Ensure all rubber compounds meet
quality specifications
and industry standards
. - Work closely with
Production, QA, and R&D
teams for process enhancement and quality improvement.
Accountability #2: Process / Performance
- Analyze mixing cycle times, energy consumption, and material utilization for performance optimization.
- Drive
cost reduction initiatives
without compromising product quality. - Implement best practices for
waste reduction
and yield improvement
. - Ensure preventive and predictive
maintenance
of mixers, mills, and related equipment to minimize downtime. - Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams for continuous process reliability.

- Lead, supervise, and mentor operators and technicians within the mixing department.
- Conduct regular
training sessions
on safety, process improvement, and quality standards. - Promote a

environmental, health, and safety (EHS)
regulations and company policies. - Perform
risk assessments

Qualifications & Experience
Education:
B.Tech/M.Tech in Rubber Technology or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Polymer Science/Engineering. Experience:
10–15 years in rubber compounding or mixing operations
, preferably within the tire, automotive, or industrial rubber industry
. - Proven track record in
operational leadership
and process improvement
within a manufacturing setup.
