Maintenance Manager ( B.TECH)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, repair, and continuous operation of all facility infrastructure and technical systems at our Testing and Analytical Laboratory. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency necessary for precision-based laboratory environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing critical utility systems, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining a safe, functional, and compliant workspace that supports testing, calibration, and analytical processes.

Objective:

Ensure optimal functioning of all facility infrastructure, equipment, and utility systems to support uninterrupted testing operations while maintaining regulatory compliance and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain 11/.415 KV substations or higher
• Operate and service HT & LT circuit breakers
• Oversee transformer maintenance and servicing
• Handle diesel generator (DG) operation and routine maintenance
• Manage electrical cabling, wiring, and distribution systems
• Troubleshoot and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Maintain firefighting systems and fire safety equipment in line with lab safety norms
• Read, design, and troubleshoot electrical control circuit diagrams
• Develop and interpret facility layout and equipment installation plans
• Work with compressed air systems, water treatment plants, and gas bank setups (preferred)
• Monitor and maintain AC and HVAC systems, ensuring temperature and humidity control as per lab requirements
• Supervise all facility maintenance jobs including plumbing, civil repairs, carpentry, etc.
• Plan and execute new department setups or equipment installations with minimal disruption to lab operations
• Bonus: Ability to work with or understand electronic components such as PCBs, solenoid valves, relays, ICs, IGBTs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facility Management
• 10+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or analytical laboratory settings.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and safety standards relevant to testing labs
• Ability to handle vendors, AMC contracts, and maintenance logs
• Excellent troubleshooting and team coordination skills
