Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainline Media Planner to join our advertising team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing effective media strategies, planning and executing campaigns across TV, Print, Radio, Outdoor, and other traditional media channels. The role involves understanding client objectives, analyzing data, negotiating with media vendors, and ensuring high-impact campaign delivery.

The Core Responsibilities For The Job Include The Following

Media Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop 360 mainline media plans based on client objectives and target audience insights.
  • Work on media mix recommendations across TV, Print, Radio, OOH, Cinema, and other ATL channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and media consumption data.

Campaign Management

  • Prepare media briefs, strategy documents, schedules, and flowcharts.
  • Coordinate campaign execution with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Monitor ongoing campaigns and optimize placements for maximum effectiveness.

Research And Analytics

  • Use media research tools such as BARC, IRS, TAM, TGI, MAP, RAM, etc.
  • Provide data-backed insights and post-campaign reports (PCRs).
  • Track performance vs. plan and prepare measurable outcome reports.

Client Management

  • Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Understand client brand objectives and translate them into actionable media plans.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and media partners.

Vendor Coordination And Negotiation

  • Negotiate rates, placements, and deliverables with media vendors.
  • Manage budgets efficiently and ensure optimal cost allocations.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of media inventory and market pricing.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain campaign documentation, approvals, and billing coordination.
  • Deliver accurate weekly/monthly performance reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a mainline advertising or media agency.
  • Strong understanding of traditional media channels and planning tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple campaigns.
