Job Description

Industry & Sector:

IT Services & Enterprise Systems Operations supporting large-scale banking, insurance, and enterprise transactional workloads. This on-site role in India focuses on managing and maintaining mission-critical mainframe infrastructure and ensuring continuous, secure batch and online processing.

Mainframe Systems Administrator

Location: India
Workplace: On-site

Role & Responsibilities

Administer and maintain z/OS production environments, ensuring high availability, stability, and compliance for mission-critical applications.
Manage CICS and DB2 subsystems, troubleshoot transaction and database issues, and optimize runtime performance for high-throughput workloads.
Own batch processing lifecycle: author and validate JCL, handle job scheduling, monitor job flows, and resolve job failures promptly.
Implement and maintain RACF security policies, perform user provisioning/audits, and collaborate with security teams on access controls and compliance.
Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and SMF/JES analysis; implement fixes to reduce incidents and improve SLAs.
Lead on-call incident response and change activities; liaise with application, network, and release teams for coordinated deployments and root-cause analysis.
