Job duties for experience Senior Level System Programmer UAB job title would be System Analyst Architect
Is an experienced mainframe system programmer with at least 20 years experience with installation, maintenance, and optimization of the ZOS operating system and related software.

Their responsibilities are very important for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of essential enterprise applications, such as Health Quest financial system and billing.

Important installation and maintenance skills required.
Install and upgrade software using SMP/E. Install and maintain BMC monitoring products and file distribution with Control-D product line and job scheduler Control-O, such as rules and daily batch cycles. Maintain system libraries such as sys1.parmlib. Maintain system IODFs and RES packs and system shared packs. Maintain system and user catalogs for dataset management and aliasing. Performance monitoring and storage management. Experience with WLM, SMF and RMF data for analyzing performance data for optimal throughput and reliability with batch cycles and online system (CICS). Proactive capacity planning for hunting performance issues by analyzing resource groups and adjusting for future growth. Manage mainframe external devices such as printers, key plates and arm bands. Manage storage devices DS8910 and TS7770 virtual tape. Monitor DFHSM using ML1 and ML2 for migrating data. Manage VSAM files for online and batch jobs, reorgs and delete and defines as needed. Problem resolution and troubleshooting (Proactive approach) Diagnose issues in the early staging with alerts and monitoring. Resolve abends that occur during batch cycle and online CICS abends. Work closely with vendor CEs to diagnose and replace failing parts. Perform root cause analysis for debriefs to eliminate future issues. Security and disaster recovery Maintain and RACF security policies. Maintain access list for datasets and granted rights. Maintain IBM global mirroring that allows data to be replicated to MDC from DC-Blox datacenter. Maintain backup and restore procedures. CICS system responsibilities Maintain our CICS regions for development, test and production. Ensure all CICS datasets have the correct open and close parameters. Build, configure and maintain all shared online files. Configure CICS connections between 3rd party interface engines.
