Roles and Responsibilities Lead the design, development, integration, and maintenance of automated machinery and robotic systems used in manufacturing and process automation. Research and conceptualize new product ideas, components, technologies, and processes that push the boundaries of innovation. Enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of existing automation systems and product lines. Translate customer requirements into detailed CAD designs, ensuring all outputs meet or exceed specified technical and quality standards. Integrate actuators, sensors, pneumatics/hydraulics, and control systems into comprehensive and robust mechanical assemblies. Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and controls engineers to deliver high-performance mechatronic systems. Conduct mechanical simulations such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and motion analysis to validate designs and guide engineering decisions. Build and test prototypes to validate performance, accuracy, and system reliability through iterative design improvements. Optimize mechanical designs for repeatability, efficiency, and long-term durability in real-world production environments. Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation including design files, test reports, and technical specifications aligned with ISO/ASME standards. Ensure that all designs and integrated systems meet applicable safety, regulatory, and industry standards (e.g., CE, ISO, ANSI). Collaborate with Sales and Project teams to deliver technically sound solutions that meet client specifications and performance expectations. Mentor and support junior design and mechanical engineers during the installation, deployment, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our products at customer facilities, providing hands-on guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards. Lead or support multiple phases of complex projects, maintaining accountability for design success from inception through to manufacturing delivery. Track and report project milestones and deliverables, with work reviewed primarily at key checkpoints and project completion. Requirements Bacheloror Masterdegree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in robotics or industrial automation domains. Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Shapr3D. Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and machine safety standards. Familiar with motion control systems (servos, stepper motors, encoders). Understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, machining, 3D printing), materials and mechanical systems. Practical experience with FEA tools, motion analysis, and real-world prototyping. Hands-on expertise in integrating mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across engineering disciplines and with external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects under minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
