Machine Shop Manager

As the Production Manager(Machine shop & Fabrication), you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop facility.Your extensive experience in CNC, VMC, machines, along with your programming skills, will be essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components. In addition, your understanding of fabrication and welding processes, along with your expertise in shop floor planning, budgeting, and resource utilization, will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the daily activities of the machine shop, including CNC, HMC, VMC, and HBM machines, to meet production targets and quality standards.

Utilize your programming expertise to optimize machine operations, reduce downtime, and improve overall efficiency.

Collaborate with the fabrication and welding teams, applying your basic knowledge to ensure seamless integration of processes and efficient workflow.

Develop shop floor plans that maximize space utilization, streamline workflows, and enhance overall productivity.

Prepare budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve production goals while maintaining cost control. Assess manpower requirements, lead recruitment efforts, and provide leadership and guidance to the shop floor team.

Foster a positive work environment by effectively communicating with and motivating team members, utilizing your strong interpersonal skills. Implement tools and techniques such as SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) and TPM/TQM (Total Productive Maintenance/Total Quality Management) to drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to ensure products meet or exceed quality specifications. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E - Mechanical) or a related field.

Min 15 years of experience in machine shop operations, including extensive exposure to CNC, HMC, VMC, HBM machines and in Fabrication

Proficiency in programming and optimizing machine operations. Basic understanding of fabrication and welding processes.

Strong knowledge of shop floor planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Proven experience in leading and managing a team of shop floor personnel.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with tools and techniques such as SQCD, TPM, and TQM.

Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the heavy machinery industry.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
