Job Description

Key Responsibilities LoRaWAN Integration Integrate smart water meters with LoRaWAN gateways and network servers. Configure end devices for OTAA/ABP activation modes. Ensure proper communication between meters, gateways, and cloud platforms. Installation & Deployment Install and commission smart water meters at customer sites. Deploy and configure LoRaWAN gateways (indoor/outdoor). Perform site surveys to evaluate LoRa signal coverage, network range, and interference. Network & Device Management Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity between meters, gateways, and applications. Configure Adaptive Data Rate (ADR) for optimized communication. Ensure compliance with LoRaWAN frequency regulations (IN865, EU868, etc.). Water Meter Industry Expertise Hands-on experience in mechanical/electronic water meters with IoT capability. Knowledge of water consumption measurement, data logging, and leak detection. Coordinate with manufacturers/vendors for meter firmware updates and calibration. Integration & Cloud Connectivity Connect meter data to IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure, ChirpStack, ThingsBoard, etc.). Enable real-time monitoring, analytics, and reporting for utility providers. Maintenance & Support Provide technical support for field installations. Troubleshoot issues in connectivity, data accuracy, or device performance. Train field staff on LoRaWAN device setup and usage. Required Skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of LoRaWAN protocol, gateways, and end-node devices. Experience in smart metering (AMR/AMI systems). Familiarity with network servers, MQTT/HTTP APIs, cloud dashboards. Hands-on installation and commissioning experience in IoT-enabled water meters.
