The Role
What you will do
Logistics:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate for delivery of inbound and outbound shipments. Ensure timely pickup and delivery according to business requirements Day-to-day coordination with freight forwarder and CHA for timely delivery of import of goods Responsible for custom clearance activities: o SIMS submission, import checklist approval, BOE payment, consignment delivery from port to India facility Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations. Stay updated on changes in customs policies, import tariffs and duty structures. Address and resolve clearance related issues Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities for reporting and audits. Liaise with logistics service providers for rates, schedule and service quality. Process all freight invoices and identify discrepancies, if any. Monitor overall logistics spend and identify opportunities for savings.
Operational Support:
Be a safety ambassador and support the safety performance at the Branch to ensure everyone goes home safe every day - Zero Harm
. As required, support the Buyers Team for placing/releasing POs with 3rd party suppliers Support the Buyers Team to expedite deliveries to meet customer requirements based on system notifications, Supply Chain requests or Customer Care requests Support the planning and coordination of stock control, stock
consolidation and warehouse administration processes to ensure stock is replenished with the right product in the right place, at the right time, every time. Maintain the M3/Infor (ERP System) ensuring transactional accuracy of information is accurate and updated consistently. Also, support any ongoing M3 upgrades required. Drive best practice for all dispatch of products from the Branch to the customer to ensure a high level of quality, accuracy and safety is achieved and sustained Support the FEM Program, conduct Toolbox meetings, FEM Audits and Lean events (Baseline, SWF, KB, Problem Solving, etc.). Take on the responsibility of Acting Operations Manager during times of annual leave and absence.
About you
Minimum of 8 years Logistics and Warehouse or Operational disciplines. Problem solver, hands on, flexible and willing to take initiative. Understands the benefit of working together as a team, good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with all levels of people. Inventory management skills. Experience in working with an ERP package. Strong coordination and follow-up skills. Willing and able to travel as required.
