Logistics Manager

• Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage end-to-end transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
• Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and accuracy.
• Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and other service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and generate reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and government regulations.
• Optimize logistics costs through route planning, freight negotiations, and improved processes.
• Lead and manage the logistics team, providing training and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams for smooth supply chain operations.
• Implement technology and automation to improve efficiency in logistics processes.
• Key Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and distribution practices.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, WMS, and MS Office tools.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional coordination.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in [industry-specific logistics – e.g., construction, manufacturing, retail, FMCG, etc. if relevant].
• Knowledge of legal regulations, customs clearance, and transportation laws.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• On-time delivery performance
• Logistics cost efficiency (cost per shipment/unit)
• Inventory accuracy and stock levels
• Warehouse utilization and efficiency
• Customer satisfaction related to logistics services
