Job Description

Department: International Business ( Leading OEM in Auto Sector) Role & Responsibilities- EXECUTION 1 Negotiating Ocean, air freight quotes taken from forwarders and carriers. 2 Prepare and present freight Comparisions to Price Panel team for further negotiation 3 Planning dispatches from the plant as per the vessel schedule and taking bookings accordingly, from the shipping line . 4 Coordination between production team, surface transportation, and forwarders/shipping Lines and to plan dispatches of vehicles. 5 Arranging the third-party inspection as per country requirement. 6 Arranging weekly logistics meeting to address critical issues. 7 Resolving interdepartmental issues and disputes with external agencies. 8 Interface between the organization and Customs of India for export related activities. Banks for foreign inward remittances, letter of credit and proof of exports. 9 Maintaining MIS: Daily Dispatch Report, FIRC Report, Export Incentives & Logistics Report. 10 Resolving issues related to bills from logistics vendors and arranging management approval . SUPERVISION 1 Managing 3WH, 4WH and Spare parts logistics and inspection: a Coordination with convoy for 4 WH dispatch from plant and delivery for PDI. b Delivery from PDI to seaport. c Supervision for all Port related activities for ensuring timely shipment d Initiate inspection and solve queries raised by inspection agency. 2 Shipping line/forwarder/CHA coordination: a Getting sailing confirmation. b Check the bills for authorizing advance payment to shipping line & CHA. c Follow-up for getting the Bills of lading. 3 Shipping documents check. a. Verifying the LC before dispatch of the shipment. b Verifying the shipping documents before submission to bank and customer. 4 Bank related activities: a Guaranteed remittance waiver follow-up. b Destruction certificate/re-import documents follow-up. c LC discrepancy response to banks. d FIRC related queries. 5 Compliance and Incentives a Monitoring documents pending for submission under EDPMS. b Monitoring data and issues related to RoDTEP incentives and confirming scrip generation.  Skills Needed :  Strong negotiation and collaborative skills  Man Management – Efficiently handle his team for pre-shipment, post shipment and incentivization work  Coordination / good interdepartmental skills – coordination required between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders  Familiarity with export regulations and documentation.  Have Strategic level thinking for creating SCM function into a competitive edge for shipments  Effectively handle third part dealings like inspections etc  International logistics experience a must Show more Show less
