Role & responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Activations Specialist to spearhead local, state-specific events, activations, and on-ground initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing activation strategies that engage target audiences at a grassroots level and drive awareness and adoption of the Dainik Bhaskar App and its offerings.

This role requires a creative thinker with strong execution capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to on-ground brand building.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Strategy

  • Plan, execute, analyze, and continuously improve activation campaigns and on-ground initiatives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive activation plans tailored to local/state-specific demographics, preferences, and cultural nuances.
  • Identify and evaluate relevant local events, festivals, exhibitions, and community gatherings for participation or sponsorship, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.

Execution & Activations

  • Lead end-to-end execution of on-ground activations, ensuring seamless coordination across all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, external agencies, vendors, and local partners to deliver high-impact activations.
  • Create and manage promotional materials, signage, and branded merchandise to enhance visibility and engagement at events.
  • Coordinate logistics including venue selection, permits, staffing, transportation, and equipment in collaboration with agencies.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Build, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with event organizers, local businesses, community leaders, and partners to strengthen brand presence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for local activation partners and agencies.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activation initiatives using metrics such as footfall, engagement, brand awareness, and app installs.
  • Manage budgets efficiently, optimizing spend to maximize ROI and achieve marketing objectives.
  • Share regular performance reports and actionable insights with the team, highlighting wins, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications,
  • 510 years of proven experience in activations, event management, or related roles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local/state-specific regulations, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior is a plus.
