We have recently launched the RedSwitches Cloud Management App, an in-house application that offers extensive server management solutions. This includes Ordering, Billing, and Invoice management, as well as a suite of cloud server management tools. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Linux Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Engineer (Level 1 & 2), you will be responsible for assisting in the management and maintenance of our Linux server environments. This role is critical in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain Linux server environments ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Assist in server setup, configuration, and maintenance. Provide timely technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Linux servers. Perform regular security monitoring, backup operations, and system updates. Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize system performance and implement enhancements. Contribute to the development and maintenance of system documentation, procedures, and policies. Engage in continuous learning to keep up with latest technology trends and RedSwitches' internal systems. Qualifications: Experience or knowledge in Linux server administration. Basic understanding of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and SSH. Familiarity with command-line interface (CLI) tools and scripting languages such as Bash or Python. Problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong sense of accountability and reliability. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A keen interest in pursuing a career in system administration and cloud computing. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or equivalent.
