Role: Linux Engineer Location: Chennai, Ahmedabad Experience Range: 3 to 5 years Job Description: Desired Competencies: · Compute: Demonstrates a deep understanding of compute concepts, including virtualization, operating systems, system administration, performance, networking, and troubleshooting. · Web Technologies: Experience with web technologies and protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, SSL/TLS) and experience troubleshooting web application issues. · Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) system administration. Experience with Windows Server administration is a plus. · GCP Proficiency: Experience with GCP core services, particularly Compute Engine, Networking (VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancing), Storage (Cloud Storage, Persistent Disk), and related services within the Compute domain. · Security: Solid understanding of security best practices for securing compute resources in cloud environments, including IAM implementation, access control, vulnerability management, and protection against unauthorized access and data exfiltration. · Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring tools for troubleshooting and performance analysis. · Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for system administration, automation, and API interaction. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Cloud Build) is essential · Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing, load balancing) and experience troubleshooting network issues. · Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. · Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Show more Show less
