Linux Engineer

The Linux Engineer position is a full-time role based in Vadodara within the IT Infrastructure department. As a Linux Engineer with 5-10 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise Linux environments. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with teams and clients. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and maintaining Linux-based systems and servers, resolving system issues and performance bottlenecks, and collaborating with storage, backup, and virtualization teams for seamless cross-platform integrations. You will also be involved in patching, upgrades, routine maintenance, and ensuring system security measures are followed diligently. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate a strong proficiency in Linux system administration, specifically in RHEL and Ubuntu distributions. Additionally, basic scripting skills in Bash or equivalent languages are required. Expertise in Storage systems (Isilon, NetApp, Pure), Backup solutions (Commvault), Virtualization platforms (VMware), or Hyperconverged infrastructure (Nutanix) would be advantageous. While certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA/RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Commvault Certified Professional, Nutanix Certified Professional, and NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) are preferred, they are not mandatory. Familiarity with ITIL processes and automation tools like Ansible will be beneficial in this role.
