The Linux Engineer position is a full-time role based in Vadodara within the IT Infrastructure department. You will also be involved in patching, upgrades, routine maintenance, and ensuring system security measures are followed diligently. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate a strong proficiency in Linux system administration, specifically in RHEL and Ubuntu distributions. Additionally, basic scripting skills in Bash or equivalent languages are required. Expertise in Storage systems (Isilon, NetApp, Pure), Backup solutions (Commvault), Virtualization platforms (VMware), or Hyperconverged infrastructure (Nutanix) would be advantageous. While certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA/RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Commvault Certified Professional, Nutanix Certified Professional, and NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) are preferred, they are not mandatory. Familiarity with ITIL processes and automation tools like Ansible will be beneficial in this role. The Senior Cloud Automation Engineer will also be responsible for helping to develop and document policies, standards, operational processes, and to mentor junior engineers. Knowledge, Experience & Skills: - A strong understanding of protecting workloads in VMware Cloud (VMC) on AWS. - Must have experience with technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc. - Proven record of automating administration and monitoring of storage and backup systems. - 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS architecture. - 8+ years in IT with 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing modern backup/storage solutions. - Experience with cloud archive technologies, principles, and best practices. - Experience and a deep understanding of Storage technologies including PureStorage, NetApp, Dell/EMC VMAX, VNX, Unity, and DataDomain. - Strong knowledge of storage-related connectivity protocols and technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, Block, NFS, SMB). - Experience with migrating on-prem infrastructure environments to AWS. VMC on AWS a plus.
