About the Opportunity

fully qualified, actively licensed US Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

CPA signing authority and professional leader

What You’ll Build (Core Focus Areas)

SOC 2 Type I / Type II examinations
(Trust Services Criteria)
SOC 1 / SSAE 18
reporting (as applicable)
Cybersecurity attestation / assurance
engagements aligned to AICPA frameworks (where applicable)
Readiness and advisory services
supporting security, privacy, and compliance programs (non-attest services delivered under independence safeguards)

Key Responsibilities

Serve as
engagement leader and signing CPA
for attest/assurance engagements (as permitted by license and firm registrations).
Establish and enforce
quality management
, ethics, independence, client acceptance/continuance, and risk management practices.
Build a
repeatable delivery model
for SOC/cybersecurity assurance (planning, testing, evidence evaluation, reporting, and review).
Develop strategic alliances with GRC platforms, cybersecurity firms, and compliance partners.

Required Qualifications

Active US CPA license
in good standing (state board registered).
Demonstrated experience leading
assurance/attestation
engagements in a public accounting environment.
Strong working knowledge of relevant standards and practices, such as:
SSAE/Attestation standards
(e.g., AT-C)
SOC reporting
and Trust Services Criteria
Independence and ethics requirements
Comfortable operating in a
founder role
: building from scratch, creating structure, and scaling delivery.
Excellent client-facing communication and report-writing skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have

Prior experience as
partner/director/manager
in SOC or technology risk assurance.
Experience with
cloud environments
, security controls, and GRC (AWS/Azure/GCP, IAM, logging/monitoring, incident response, SDLC).
Experience building
quality systems
, peer review readiness, and engagement review processes.
Network in the US cybersecurity/compliance ecosystem (startups, VC-backed firms, healthcare/fintech/SaaS).
