Liaisoning and Sales Manager – Aquaculture Sector Reports to : Managing Director / Head of Sales Job Purpose The Liaisoning and Sales Manager will be responsible for building and managing key relationships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders while driving sales growth in the aquaculture sector. The role combines regulatory coordination, stakeholder engagement, and business development to support project execution and market expansion. Key Responsibilities Liaisoning : Establish and maintain strong relationships with government departments, local authorities, fisheries departments, and regulatory bodies. Facilitate licensing, approvals, compliance, and documentation for aquaculture projects. Act as a key point of contact for regulatory updates, industry changes, and government schemes ( e.g., PMMSY, NFDB programs). Ensure timely communication and resolution of issues related to permits, inspections, and compliance processes. Represent the company at industry events, public hearings, and stakeholder meetings. Sales & Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the aquaculture sector (B2B and B2G). Develop and maintain a pipeline of clients including fish farmers, hatcheries, cooperatives, and institutions. Promote the company’s products/services such as aquaculture systems, feed, equipment, consulting, etc. Prepare and deliver technical/commercial proposals and negotiate contracts. Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and report on KPIs and market intelligence. Key Skills and Competencies Strong networking and relationship-building skills, especially with government and regulatory bodies. In-depth understanding of aquaculture practices, trends, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive sales outcomes. High integrity, discretion, and ability to navigate bureaucratic systems. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Business, or related field. Minimum 4–5years of experience in liaisoning and sales, preferably within the aquaculture or agriculture sector. Familiarity with government schemes, tendering processes, and aquaculture value chains. Willingness to travel extensively across regions. Desirable Attributes Prior experience in working with state fisheries departments or national aquaculture missions. Multilingual abilities (regional languages preferred for field communication). Strategic thinker with a strong results-oriented mindset.
