Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Knowledge of Real Estate Laws and Regulations, including property laws, conveyancing, RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Land Laws, and any other applicable state-specific law and its local practices.
Review and analyze title search reports and the complete chain of property documents to ensure clear and marketable title, while identifying any encumbrances, defects, or legal irregularities in ownership history.
Coordinate and assist with the Corporate Legal Team and Head Office, including handling assignments and legal matters as delegated by the Corporate Legal team from time to time.
Draft, review, and vet various agreements and other ancillary legal documents.
Provide legal support for onboarding and managing empaneled legal advisors / law firms.
Conduct site visits to developers projects for on-ground legal inspections, verification of documentation, and assessment of statutory compliance.
Ensure proper assessment of stamp duty and compliance with local revenue laws and practices.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors Degree in Law
Minimum 2-3 Years of Experience in Bank / NBFC / HFC
