Job Description

Role Overview: You will serve as a key lawyer for the South Asia Cluster, providing legal advice and leading the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts. Additionally, you will offer practical, business-oriented strategic advice for all product value streams and value chains within the global MedTech product portfolio. You will also lead legal initiatives for Care Delivery International within the countries in scope, ensuring alignment with FME's objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and work closely with various stakeholders and counterparts, including regulators and external counsels. - Execute strategic agendas and business plans for the South Asia Cluster in collaboration with business teams, considering geopolitical, commercial, legal, industry, and regulatory aspects. - Handle disputes, litigious matters, and regulatory investigations for the countries in scope. - Oversee corporate governance and provide legal support for M&A and restructuring initiatives. - Support data privacy matters and act as the data privacy officer for the respective countries. - Offer proactive, strategic, and tactical legal advice, working as part of a cross-functional team on projects and initiatives. - Develop and implement policies, procedures, and control mechanisms to ensure guidance, training, and monitoring systems are in place. - Identify opportunities to enhance business operations through consistency and uniformity in legal work. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in India, preferably from a leading law firm or in-house legal counsel in an MNC environment. - Experience working on matters in other countries within the South Asia cluster is advantageous. - Experience in healthcare or a similar industry will be highly regarded. - Strong contract negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal topics. - Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels and achieve desired outcomes. - Commercially minded and solutions-driven with a strong work ethic and exceptional business partner focus. - Agility to work effectively in a global matrix organization across various boundaries. - Strong collaboration skills, business-minded, and growth mindset. - Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. - Attention to detail while keeping sight of the big picture.,
