Legal Consultant (Contract specialist)

As a Legal Consultant at Leena AI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance and protecting the organization's interests through thorough vetting of contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and employment-related documents. Operating in a dynamic startup environment globally, your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating customer and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with Indian legal standards and international laws. - Assessing Non-Disclosure Agreements to safeguard sensitive information and enforce confidentiality obligations. - Providing legal counsel on employment contracts, ensuring adherence to Indian labor laws and international regulations. - Conducting legal research to stay updated on changes in laws affecting contracts and employment practices. - Offering expert legal advice to internal stakeholders regarding contractual obligations and employment-related issues. - Ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant Indian laws and international regulations. - Collaborating with HR, Sales, and other departments to facilitate contract negotiations and resolve legal concerns in a global context. - Taking ownership of the legal documents vetting process within defined SLAs, developing templates for contracts and NDAs. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent degree; Master of Laws (LLM) preferred. - Experience: Minimum 4+ years in a legal advisory role focusing on contract law and employment matters. - Optional Licensing: Registered with the Bar Council of India with a valid license to practice law. Skills Required: - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English and Hindi. - Proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Effective time management skills to meet defined SLAs.
