Legal & Compliance Executive

We are seeking an LLB-qualified Legal & Compliance Officer to manage legal, regulatory, and compliance-related matters of the organization. The role involves handling consumer cases, drafting and vetting legal agreements, liaising with local government authorities, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Legal & Litigation

• Handle and coordinate consumer court cases, litigation matters, and company legal disputes.

• Draft replies, affidavits, and documentation for consumer complaints and legal notices.

• Coordinate with external advocates and law firms when required.

• Maintain records of ongoing cases, status updates, and legal documentation.

Compliance & Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and central government laws applicable to the organization.

• Track, implement, and monitor statutory compliances and renewals.

• Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.

Government Liaisoning

• Liaise with local government bodies, regulatory authorities, and departments for approvals, licenses, and renewals.

• Coordinate with municipal corporations, health departments, labor departments, and other statutory authorities.

Contracts & Documentation

• Draft, review, and vet legal agreements, including:

• Vendor and service agreements

• Lease and rental agreements

• NDAs and MoUs

• Employee-related legal documents

• Ensure contracts are legally sound and aligned with company policies.

Advisory & Risk Management

• Provide legal advice to management and stakeholders on risk mitigation and legal exposure.

• Support internal teams with legal guidance on operational and compliance matters.

• Assist in framing internal policies and SOPs from a legal standpoint.
