About the Role

Legal Advisor (Intern) — Tech & Privacy

Responsibilities

• Research and provide guidance on data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology-related legal matters
• Assist in drafting and reviewing privacy policies, terms of service, and user agreements
• Support compliance efforts with Indian IT laws, GDPR, and global data protection standards
• Review vendor and partnership agreements for legal and privacy implications
• Monitor emerging legal trends and regulations in the tech and privacy domains
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure best practices for data handling and user privacy
• Assist in preparing documentation and reports for audits or regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Current law student (preferably in 3rd year or above of a 5-year course, or final year of a 3-year course)
• Strong interest in technology law, data privacy, and digital compliance
• Good understanding of IT Act, GDPR, and privacy-related legal frameworks
• Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with integrity
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

Nice to Have

• Prior internship experience in tech law, privacy law, or corporate law firms
• Familiarity with contract drafting and vendor agreements
• Understanding of global privacy standards such as CCPA, HIPAA, etc.
• Exposure to legal aspects of AI/ML, cloud services, and cross-border data flows
