Leather Production job can encompass various roles, from hands-on leather workers crafting and repairing items to managers overseeing the entire production process. These roles require a combination of technical skills, knowledge of materials, and often, strong organizational and management abilities. General responsibilities often include:Material Handling & Preparation: Measuring, cutting, and preparing leather, as well as preparing other materials like inserts and heel pads. Construction & Assembly: Using hand tools and machinery to construct leather goods, following design specifications. Finishing & Detailing: Applying finishing touches, such as edge treatment, staining, and polishing. Repair & Restoration: Repairing and restoring damaged leather goods. Quality Control: Inspecting products for quality, durability, and adherence to standards. Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaboration: Working with designers, supervisors, and other team members. Following Instructions: Adhering to design specifications, technical drawings, and safety protocols. Specific roles may include:Leather Worker:Focuses on the hands-on crafting, construction, and repair of leather goods, using various tools and techniques. Leather Production Planner:Responsible for planning and coordinating the entire production process, including material procurement, staffing, and scheduling. Leather Production Manager:Oversees the production team, ensures quality and efficiency, and manages the overall production workflow.
