Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop & implement leasing strategies: United by goals like maximizing occupancy, optimizing tenant mix, and boosting rental revenue across portfolios such as retail, office, or mixed-use assets.
- Market intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends and competitive developments to inform strategy and identify opportunities.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead and coach leasing teams: Guide performance, foster collaboration, and align efforts with broader organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with marketing, property management, design, finance, legal, and development teams to ensure cohesive delivery of leasing goals.
Tenant Acquisition & Relationship Management

- Brokerage & external partnerships: Appoint and manage brokers or agencies to broaden tenant reach and build pipelines.
Leasing Operations & Process Management
- Handle lease documentation & compliance: Oversee drafting, negotiation, finalization, and execution of lease agreements, ensuring regulatory and company policy adherence.
- Implement and manage systems: Use CRM, lease management, documentation, and reporting systems to track inquiries, performance, and occupancy.
Pre-leasing & Project Launch (When Relevant)

Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track leasing performance: Monitor KPIs like occupancy, lease renewals, turnover, and revenue. Prepare regular updates for senior management and stakeholders.

- Budgeting & financial management: Set and manage leasing budgets, marketing spend, and revenue projections to maximize net operating income.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure regulatory adherence: Stay compliant with leasing laws, documentation standards, and asset management best practices.
Preferred candidate profile
 
Experience
- 10 to 15+ yearsof experience in- real estate leasing, with a proven track record of closing high-value lease transactions.
- Prior experience in retail, commercial, office, or industrialreal estate leasing (depending on the companys asset class).
- Minimum 3–5 years in a senior leadership role, overseeing a leasing team or department.
Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of local and regional real estate markets, rental trends, tenant mix strategies, and competitive landscape.
- Knowledge of zoning laws, leasing laws, and real estate regulations.
- Familiarity with lease structures, negotiation tactics, and legal clauses (e.g., LOI, CAM, break clauses).
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,Real Estate,Finance,Law, or a related field.
- MBA or specialized certifications (e.g., RICS, ICSC, CCIM) are often preferred.
