Purpose of the role
The LMS Admin Specialist provides first-line LMS administration and learner support, ensuring courses, sessions, and assignments are set up accurately and that learners and facilitators receive timely, effective support. This is an executional role in Shared Services, focused on day-to-day transactional tasks while escalating complex or systemic issues to LMS System Specialists or the LMS Lead.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide first-line LMS support to learners and training requestors, resolving straightforward issues (enrollments, assignments, access, rosters) and escalating complex/systemic cases.
- Execute LMS administration tasks including course and session setup, roster management, learning assignments, evaluations, and standard communications.
- Run standard/canned LMS reports and provide results to stakeholders as requested.
- Load approved SCORM/xAPI content packages into the LMS, ensuring they are properly configured.
- Support live program delivery by monitoring sessions, troubleshooting learner/facilitator access issues, and sending reminders/confirmation emails.
- Apply governance templates and standards consistently in all builds.
- Document recurring issues and provide input to LMS System Specialists for systemic resolution.
 
Minimum Qualifications
- Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
- 1–2 years of experience in LMS administration, learner support, or related HR/learning operations.
- Familiarity with enterprise LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday Learning, SuccessFactors).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication skills, especially in explaining processes to learners and requestors.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting global learners in a shared services or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI content loading.
- Exposure to IT ticketing or case management systems.
- Experience working with standardized templates, governance frameworks, or SOPs.
