About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Systems Engineer to architect the backbone of our secure, high-performance cloud platform.

This is not a standard DevOps role. It bridges the gap between low-level systems programming and scalable cloud operations. We need someone who understands Linux kernel tuning and memory management just as well as they understand Kubernetes scaling. You will ensure our infrastructure can handle complex, data-intensive workloads while meeting the strict security standards of the regulated healthcare industry.

Structure of the Role

• Phase 1 (Month 0-6): You will join as a Probationary Lead Engineer on a fixed retainer/contract. You will undergo deep-dive onboarding on our specific infrastructure, Advanced Security Protocols, and GxP Compliance standards.
• Phase 2 (Month 7+): Upon successful performance review, you will be confirmed as a Permanent Lead Systems Engineer with a revised salary package and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect a cloud-agnostic infrastructure using modern IaC tools. You will build modular, reusable blueprints for secure VPCs and persistence layers, treating infrastructure strictly as software.
• Kubernetes & Orchestration: Own the EKS/Kubernetes strategy. Implement strict node isolation, resource quotas, and auto-scaling strategies to support high-throughput workloads.
• Immutable Infrastructure & GitOps: Design self-hosted CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to ensure every deployment is declarative, verifiable, and audit-ready.
• Security & Compliance: Implement Zero Trust security models and IAM roles suitable for a regulated environment. You will ensure our architecture is ready for GxP/HIPAA audits by design.
• Systems Performance: Dig deep into Linux internals to optimize performance. You will debug latency issues, manage resource contention, and tune the OS for maximum throughput.
• Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior engineers, establishing rigorous best practices for code deployment, version control, and system monitoring.

Who We Are Looking For

• Experience: 10+ years in Software Engineering with a specific focus on Backend Systems, Infrastructure, or Embedded Systems.
• Systems Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Linux internals and Bash scripting. You should be comfortable debugging memory leaks, resource contention, or kernel-level performance issues.
• Cloud Authority: Deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes administration.
• Security Mindset: Experience designing architectures for regulated environments or implementing Zero Trust networks.
• Tooling: Proficiency with modern GitOps tools and container build systems.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments or managing compute-intensive clusters.
• Background in processing large-scale data streams or distributed systems.
• Database performance tuning (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and ETL integration experience.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹140,000.00 per month
