Apptware is seeking a Lead/Senior Python Developer

Product and Design teams

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy, and support client-side and server-side architectures, from accessible web applications to dynamic CLI & SDKs.
• Advocate for

  best engineering practices

  , including automation, CI/CD workflows, quality, security, performance, testing, and code refactoring.
• Partner with leadership to create

  engineering roadmaps

  that balance new features with rapid customer growth and engineering excellence.
• Lead

  debugging and scenario-based problem-solving

  , ensuring robust and reliable production systems.
• Build

  GraphQL APIs

  and integrate with backend services for efficient data access.
• Develop scalable

  microservices

  and backend APIs using Python frameworks like

  Django

  and

  Flask

  .
• Work with

  data pipelines and analytical workflows

  using Pandas and other Python data libraries.

Minimum Requirements

• 6–12 years’ experience as a

  Full Stack Developer

  or similar role in a

  distributed engineering environment

  with direct operational responsibility (on-call experience), preferably on a public cloud service.

• Strong Python skills

  (analytics + general development), with experience in Django, Flask, APIs, Pandas, OOPs, System Design, Design Patterns, Testing, and Code Refactoring.

• Deep knowledge of AWS from scratch to end

  , including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, Glue, Athena, RDS/DynamoDB, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience creating

  responsive web applications

  and corresponding backend APIs, implemented using industry best practices.
• Exposure to

  GraphQL

  and microservices architecture.
• Ability to plan projects, communicate status, and deliver high-quality results.
• 4-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Strong Python experience with exposure to

  TypeScript / React

  .
• Experience with

  AWS Glue, Athena

  , or other data engineering services.
• Knowledge of data engineering best practices related to

  analytical and operational systems

  .
• Experience working with analytical EDWs such as

  Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Cloudera, Teradata

  .
• Prior experience in a

  startup or fast-paced environment

  delivering B2B applications, infrastructure services, and/or enterprise SaaS offerings.
