Role Description Job Title: Release Control Analyst Experience: 5-8 years Location: [Location - e.g., Trivandrum] Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Release Control Analyst with 5-8 years of expertise in Build and Release Management , Configuration Management , and Compliance & Governance . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL Server , .NET Framework , Azure DevOps , and Cosmos DB , and will be adept at building automated workflows and integrations. This role requires strong technical skills, as well as the ability to plan and execute software releases efficiently while ensuring compliance with industry best practices and governance standards. Key Responsibilities: Release Management & Control: Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across development, testing, and production environments. Ensure release processes are followed to reduce risks and minimize downtime. Track and document all release activities, ensuring compliance with governance and industry standards. Establish and maintain release schedules, working with development and operations teams to ensure timely releases. Build & Configuration Management: Manage build processes for .NET-based applications, ensuring proper compilation, packaging, and deployment. Use Azure DevOps to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated releases. Oversee configuration management to ensure consistency and reliability across various environments. Optimize release automation and integration processes to improve deployment efficiency. Automation & Integration: Develop and maintain automated workflows to enhance the release and deployment processes. Integrate Azure DevOps with other tools to streamline build and release management. Focus on database release automation, specifically with SQL Server and Cosmos DB. Governance & Compliance: Ensure all releases adhere to compliance and governance policies, maintaining audit trails. Perform risk assessments for software releases and manage rollback strategies when needed. Implement best practices for security, access control, and release approval workflows. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to streamline release cycles. Troubleshoot and resolve release-related issues quickly and effectively. Continuously improve release management processes through automation and innovative practices. Document release procedures, best practices, and lessons learned for future reference. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in Release Management, Build and Release Engineering, and Configuration Management. Strong knowledge of SQL Server, .NET Framework, Cosmos DB, and Azure DevOps. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment tools. Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps principles. Experience in compliance, governance, and security best practices in release management. Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to support the team in UK Shift and provide on-call support when required.
