Lead Engineer - Body Structure (BIW)

As a Lead Engineer - Body Structure (BIW) at Magna, you will be a key player in the development of cutting-edge automotive technologies. Your primary responsibility will involve overseeing and managing body-in-white engineering efforts across various vehicle programs. Your role will span from conceptualization to production, ensuring design excellence, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Your duties will encompass a wide range of activities including product lifecycle management, technical governance, effort estimation, customer and delivery management, mentorship, team leadership, materials and manufacturing optimization, cost and weight management, and cross-functional collaboration. To excel in this position, you should possess a BE/DME in a relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 10+ years of experience for BE or 13+ years for DME, or equivalent. Essential technical competencies include proficiency in CAD and CAE, GD&T, material science, resource allocation, manufacturing processes, and innovation strategy. Moreover, critical behavioral skills such as quality excellence, effective presentation and communication, problem-solving aptitude, customer/supplier relationship management, innovation mindset, business acumen, and market awareness are crucial for success. Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory, with proficiency in Marathi being preferred, and knowledge of a foreign language considered advantageous.
