Position Overview Design Lead at Mahati Industries is responsible for developing and implementing innovative design strategies that align with business objectives, enhance brand identity, and drive user engagement. Experience • 10-20 years of experience in electrical design of transformers. • Proven track record of developing and executing successful design strategies. • Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles. Location Yawat OR Swargate (Pune) Qualifications Bachelors/Masters – Electrical Engineering Responsibilities • Develop and communicate the overall design vision and strategy for Mahati Industries. • Oversee all design projects, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with brand guidelines and business goals. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Engineering) to integrate design thinking into the product development process. • Establish and maintain design standards, processes, and best practices. • Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions. • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging design technologies. • Manage design budgets and resources effectively. • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders at various levels. Key Competencies • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term design strategies that support business objectives. • Design Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a design team. • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively. • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges. • Innovation & Creativity: A passion for design and a drive to explore new and innovative solutions. • User-Centricity: A deep understanding of user needs and the ability to translate them into effective design solutions. • Technical Proficiency: a) Solid understanding of design tools and technologies. b) Experience in design and analytical skills of transformers at least of up to 220 kV and above large furnace transformers and Locomotive 2 phase transformers. c) Should have analytical capabilities for estimating the losses, forces, stray and Eddy losses, etc. d) Experience and conversant with using of design simulation software like VIT, Comsol, Ansys is added advantage.
