Lead Design- Power Transformer

Reporting to Director/Promoter Reporting in TBD Position Overview The Head of Design at Mahati Industries is responsible for developing and implementing innovative design strategies that align with business objectives, enhance brand identity, and drive user engagement. Experience Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical design of transformers. Proven track record of developing and executing successful design strategies. Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles. Qualifications Bachelors/Masters Electrical Engineering Responsibilities Develop and communicate the overall design vision and strategy for Mahati Industries. Oversee all design projects, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with brand guidelines and business goals. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Engineering) to integrate design thinking into the product development process. Establish and maintain design standards, processes, and best practices. Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging design technologies. Manage design budgets and resources effectively. Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders at various levels. Experience in design and analytical skills of transformers at least of up to 220 kV and above large furnace transformers and Locomotive 2 phase transformers Should have analytical capabilities for estimating the losses, forces, stray and Eddy losses, etc. Experience and conversant with using of design simulation software like VIT, Comsol, Ansys is added advantage.
