As the Lead Contracts & Legal (Legal Counsel) on a secondment role for a multinational global organization, your role will be crucial in providing legal advice and support to the businesses in India. Reporting to the General Counsel for the region, you will work closely with business and functional teams to drive growth, implement business plans, and facilitate key strategic projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Serving as the primary legal point of contact within the organization and collaborating with leadership and functional teams to deliver legal services efficiently. - Analyzing and providing advice on legal and regulatory issues related to commercial and contract law, intellectual property, corporate compliance, M&A, and more. - Managing litigation and dispute resolution efforts for businesses in the region. - Overseeing contract review and management processes, identifying and mitigating risks, and advising internal clients on legal and contractual requirements. - Drafting, negotiating, and managing legal documentation for various commercial transactions. To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Indian Attorney with an LL.B degree, additional Company Secretarial or international law qualifications are advantageous. - 8-10+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporation, with strong multinational business transactional experience. - Experience in conflict resolution and a strong understanding of business objectives and legal systems. - Excellent communication skills, integrity, good judgment, and the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. - Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
