Lead Analyst

Business Unit Overview 
Insurance Middle Office is Involved in customizing investment products by leveraging Blackstone’s credit platforms and diversified suite of alternatives to support insurers as they meet their obligations to stakeholders, invest in product innovation, and offer competitive retirement security and property protection products. Blackstone Insurance Solutions leverages Blackstone’s leading investment platforms and people with the goal of delivering bespoke investments based on each insurer’s unique objectives, outlook, and risk profile.  Responsibilities:   The analyst will be an integral part of the team wherein he will support the larger team in New York.   Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include: 

• Geneva system knowledge for cash break resolution. Understanding of cash and position reconciliation.
• Sound knowledge on Term Loans, Bonds, Revolving Loans and DDTL. • Working with other members of the Investment Team to source, diligence, and underwrite investment opportunities, leveraging Blackstone’s various groups where appropriate. • Thinking creatively about ways to improve the team’s existing process, and helping to ensure quality, consistency, and thoroughness in the team’s approach. 

Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, a successful candidate will have: 
• A desire to work in a team environment, often under strict time constraints. • Experience in cash and position reconciliation. Knowledge of resolving cash/position break discrepancies, Client reporting • Excellent technical proficiency in Excel/VBA. • Strong communication skills. • 2-3 years of relevant work experience on cash/position reconciliation, hedge fund working in structured credit.  Desired Candidate Profile:  Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools. • Very Good written & spoken communication skills; Good Analytical Skills & problem-solving skills • Pro-active & Positive Attitude • Ability to Work efficiently and effectively in a team; Excellent Customer facing Skills and Ability to build Rapport with Clients • Can escalate issues on time to ensure quick resolution • Good phone & email etiquettes.   DOMAIN SKILLS  • Very good understanding of Financial Products and having hands-on experience on a mix of Structured Credit Experience and quantitative experience. • General understanding of Private Equity / Real Estate / Hedge Funds / Reconciliation • Hands on experience of Private Equity / Real Estate / Hedge Funds systems/ Reconciliation
