Position Description: We are looking for an experienced PLSQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about coding and developing scalable and high-performance applications. You will work closely with our developers, designers, and other members of the team to deliver quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust PL/SQL code for Oracle database applications.
2. Create and optimize stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages to meet evolving business needs. 3. Collaborate closely with software engineers, business analysts, and project managers to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions. 4. Conduct database performance tuning, including code and query optimization, to ensure efficient data access. 5. Develop and manage Unix shell scripts to automate data workflows, system tasks, and job scheduling activities. 6. Troubleshoot and debug both PL/SQL code and Unix scripts to ensure seamless functionality and minimal downtime. 7. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement through peer feedback and adherence to best practices. 8. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, data anomalies, and integration issues across systems. 9. Keep current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in Oracle database development and Unix scripting. 10. Modify or enhance shell scripts based on changing requirements or business needs.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Must-Have Skills:
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
  • Expertise in PL/SQL programming, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers,
and exception handling.
  • Strong command over PL/SQL collections.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture and principles control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team
environment.
Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux OS and command-line utilities.
  • Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., `cron`, Control-M) and automation
frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with database performance tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with basic Oracle DBA tasks is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Domain knowledge in wealth management or financial services.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
