Lab Chemist

Position: Lab Chemist
Shift: General / Shift-based (as per plant requirement)
1.Key Responsibilities:1. Laboratory Testing & Analysis

• Perform raw material, in-process, and finished product testing as per SOP.
• Analyze key parameters such as acidity, pH, purity, moisture, smell, viscosity, etc.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

2. Sample Handling & Documentation

• Proper collection, labeling, and storage of samples.
• Maintain test reports, registers, and COA.
• Ensure traceability of samples and results.

3. ISO & System Compliance

• Follow ISO 9001 / Quality system procedures.
• Maintain laboratory documentation as per system requirements.
• Support internal and external quality audits.

4. Equipment & Calibration

• Operate laboratory instruments safely and correctly.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Report any malfunction or abnormal readings immediately.

5. Process Support

• Communicate test results promptly to Production and Quality team.
• Support production during process trials, troubleshooting, and batch clearance.
• Highlight any quality deviation immediately.

6. Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow lab safety rules and chemical handling guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Proper disposal of chemicals and waste as per safety norms.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Knowledge of chemical analysis & lab testing
• Understanding of ISO systems and SOPs
• Documentation and reporting skills
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, records)
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Experience Requirement:

• 2–5 years experience as Lab Chemist / QC Chemist.
• Experience in chemical / manufacturing industry preferred.
• Freshers with strong lab knowledge may be considered.

Education:

• B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry or equivalent.
