Job Description

Position : The Deputy Manager / L3 Infrastructure Engineer -

• IT Infrastructure will support the Head of IT in overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's critical IT infrastructure.
• This role involves providing technical leadership, managing infrastructure
• projects, ensuring system reliability and security, and guiding the infrastructure team to
• deliver high-quality services.
• This role demands deep technical expertise in infrastructure technologies, strong
• troubleshooting skills for critical incidents, and the ability to contribute to strategic planning and capacity management to ensure a reliable and high-performing infrastructure.

Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Engineering or any related field.

● Possess over 8 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, along with more

than 2 years of leadership experience in management

● Holding certifications in Cloud, Networking, or Microsoft technologies would be

an added advantage.

Required Skills:

● Technical: in-depth knowledge of hardware and networking, and proficiency in

cloud infrastructure

● Non-Technical: Expertise in vendor management, a strong focus on quality,

safety, and process optimization, coupled with strategic thinking for effective

decision-making.

IT Infrastructure Management: Establish and maintain IT infrastructure in

collaboration with the Head of IT and stakeholders, ensuring seamless

connectivity and providing essential IT support. Additionally, oversee budgeting

and monitoring of IT systems and processes to enhance efficiency and

performance.

● Network Engineering: Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot computer

networks to enable secure and efficient data transmission within the organization

and across multiple sites

● Network Design: Developing and implementing network architectures and

protocols tailored to the organization's requirements.

● Network Implementation: Installing, configuring, and testing network hardware

and software components, including Layer 3 devices, routers, switches, firewalls,

and NMS software.

● Network Maintenance: Monitoring and optimizing network performance,

ensuring maximum uptime, and troubleshooting issues to maintain seamless

operations.

● Network Security: Strengthening network security with firewalls, intrusion

detection and prevention systems, access control lists, and comprehensive

Gateway and Endpoint management.

● Network Upgrades & Expansion: Assessing infrastructure needs, recommending

upgrades, and integrating advancements to align with evolving business and

technology demands.

● Microsoft Server Maintenance: Overseeing operational maintenance of

Microsoft-based servers, including Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022

servers.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and manage cloud

infrastructure resources on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Implement and

maintain security best practices within the cloud environment. Participate in

capacity planning and cost optimization efforts for cloud resources.

Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and

availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. Troubleshoot

and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and problems.

● Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network design,

configurations, and procedures, ensuring records are consistently updated.

Maintain up-to-date documentation of cloud infrastructure configurations and

procedures.

● Collaboration: Work closely with IT professionals and business teams to align

network design and implementation with organizational objectives.

● System Standards & IT Policies: Develop and uphold system standards while

establishing IT policies that support business plan execution.

● Information Management: Conduct reviews, audits, and prioritization of all

information management tools, including the IT hardware replacement cycle.

● Systems Infrastructure Development: Design and implement systems

infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and hardware requirements, to facilitate

seamless connectivity and information sharing across locations.

● Backup Management: Plan and oversee timely implementation of user data and

file server backups across all locations to safeguard critical information.

End User Impact:

● Oversee the provisioning of end-user services, ensuring prompt and efficient

technical support across departments for timely query resolution.

● Facilitate training sessions for newly introduced information management tools

to enhance user adoption and efficiency
