Job Description

As a core member of the Procurement hub, your responsibilities will include: - Working on client engagements by driving a workstream for specific categories, often under the guidance of other content experts. - Developing cutting-edge knowledge related to the procurement domain. - Providing support to Client Service Teams by delivering key insights on content-focused questions such as spend analysis, TCO/cleansheet costing, contract analysis, supplier identification, saving idea/lever identification, sourcing strategy, development, RFQ management and analysis, negotiation strategy development, and tracking mechanism development. - Supporting client proposals and other client development activities. - Bringing relevant knowledge and capabilities to clients. - Extensive travel to client locations (>70% of the time within or outside India). - Being based in either Gurugram or Chennai office as part of the Procurement hub. Our client engagements span various industry sectors, with a concentration in Automotive and Assembly, Basic Materials, Consumer Goods, Retail, Pharma, and Travel Transport & Logistics. With over 2,300 Procurement engagements completed globally across all industries in the last 5 years. Your qualifications and skills should include: - Bachelor's in engineering/technology; master's degree preferred with an MBA from a business school with specialization preferably in operations. - 3+ years of relevant industry/consulting experience in procurement. - Strong understanding of purchasing, sourcing, supplier identification and management, vendor development, costing, etc. - Solid problem-solving capabilities, including disaggregating issues, identifying root causes, and recommending solutions. - Excellent analytical skills and the ability to understand the relevant analysis required to prove a hypothesis. - Basic understanding of research techniques, information sources, and statistical analysis/analytic techniques relevant to purchasing and operations. - Good business knowledge and a solid understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be a good team player. - Intellectual curiosity. - Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant analytics/statistical packages. - Knowledge/experience on e-procurement tools such as spend analysis tools, RFQ tools, should costing/zero-based costing, eAuctions, etc. will be an added advantage. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.,
