Job Summary:

As a Kitchen Supervisor at Delight Restaurant, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring top-quality food, efficient workflows, and compliance with hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in stock management and kitchen management, leading our team to uphold Delight’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Manage inventory and stock, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, minimizing wastage, and conducting regular audits to control costs.

Oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning support, recipe standardization, portion control, and equipment maintenance.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI standards) and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

Control food costs through effective stock rotation (FIFO), vendor coordination, and waste reduction strategies.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours and address operational challenges.

Conduct daily kitchen inspections for cleanliness, organization, and readiness.

Assist in recruiting and training new kitchen team members as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Head Chef, or similar role in a restaurant.

Strong expertise in stock management, including inventory control, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.

Proven kitchen management skills, with experience in workflow planning, staff supervision, and operational efficiency.

Knowledge of food safety standards (FSSAI certification or equivalent is a plus).

Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a kitchen team.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Basic computer skills for inventory management software or reporting.

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is preferred.
